On 15 March 2018, the Policy Area Education, Research and Employability (PA Education) of the EU Strategy for the Baltic Sea Region (EUSBSR) organised a stakeholder seminar in Riga, hosted by the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia.

Ronalds Štrauhs, Baltic Science Network Project Manager at the Ministry of Education and Science of Latvia, presented the project´s core areas of on-going consultations and elaborated on the thematic areas – photon & neutron science, life sciences and welfare state – of the expert working groups.

The Riga event served as a great occasion to introduce a wider pool of macro-regional stakeholders to the upcoming 2nd Science Ministerial of the Council of the Baltic Sea States (CBSS) to be hosted during the Latvian CBSS Chairmanship, as well as the closing conference of the Baltic Science Network and the CBSS Baltic Sea Science Day 2019 which will all be organised in a back-to-back set-up during the first half of 2019.

The EUSBSR PA Education stakeholder seminar in Riga was part of a chain of the EUSBSR PA Education events held across the Baltic Sea Region. Readers of this press release based in Poland are invited to register for the upcoming stakeholder seminar in Warsaw.
